Rev. Jay Denton

Lead Pastor

Jay grew up just outside of Raleigh, NC and has been pastoring for over 15 years. He and Bethany have been married for close to 20 years and have three daughters (Laine, Remy, and Breck). The Dentons like to ride bikes in their neighborhood, read books, and cook great food to share with friends around their table. You can find Jay playing tennis or golf, paddle boarding around Harbor Island, or exploring the best coffee Wilmington has to offer.

Lauren Allen

Ministry Director

Lauren is a Wilmington native and moved back from Raleigh, NC in 2020. She is married to Patrick, and they have two children, Grady and Mary Scott. The Allens enjoy hosting friends in their home and spending time at the beach. You can find Lauren taking walks in the neighborhood or adventuring around Wilmington with her kids.

Jillian Bazemore

Children's Ministry Director

Jillian has lived in Wilmington with her family since 2022.  She is married to Taylor and they have 3 girls. Jillian and her family have been at Downtown Pres since the beginning! Jillian is a Child Therapist, turned stay at home mom, and we are so thankful to have her on staff as our DPC Children’s Ministry Director! Jillian is excited to see the Lord at work in the hearts of the little children at DPC.

Brad Myers

Worship Coordinator

Brad grew up in West Virginia and has been married to Lucy since 2019. They love going on walks to the local dog park with their hound, Rooster. Brad is a band teacher at a local middle school, a fan of the Baltimore Orioles, and enjoys a good cup of coffee. The Myers love being with friends, listening to music, and being outside.

Witt Thomas

Pastoral Resident

Witt grew up in Nashville, TN and recently got married and moved to Wilmington with his wife, Katie. The Thomases love going on walks in their neighborhood, enjoying a local coffee shop, and cooking meals together. You can find Witt reading good books, enjoying a cup of coffee, and exploring new places in Wilmington to run.

Phil Antonecchia

Part-Time Teaching Pastor

Phil grew up just outside of New York City in Rockland County, NY. He graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary and currently serves at Ligonier Ministries overseeing sales and church partnerships. He and Joy were married in 2011 and have five children (Titus, Briella, Ezra, Adalai, and Elijah). The Antonecchias moved to the Wilmington area in 2023.

The Antonecchias like going to the beach, reading books together, enjoying good food, and watching Yankees baseball. Phil always enjoys talking about theology and baseball and anything related to strength and fitness.
